Amazon plans to hold a "deep dive internal meeting" to address AI-related service outage issues
BlockBeats News, March 10, according to CNBC, Amazon plans to address a recent series of service outages, including some failures related to AI-assisted coding errors, at its retail technology conference on Tuesday.
Dave Treadwell, the executive responsible for Amazon's website technology infrastructure, told employees that the company's meeting called "This Week in Stores Tech" (abbreviated as TWiST) will "delve deeply into some of the situations that led to these issues." The meeting is scheduled to begin at 12:30 p.m. Eastern Time.
Treadwell, Senior Vice President of Amazon E-commerce Foundation, wrote in an employee notice: "As you may know, the availability of the website and related infrastructure has been poor recently." He added that due to the frequent occurrence of high-severity incidents (Sev 1, which refers to events causing critical system outages or performance degradation), he will adjust the focus of the meeting.
