Barnes & Noble Education Announces Third-Quarter Financial Results
Barnes & Noble Education Inc., based in Florham Park, New Jersey, reported a net income of $6.7 million for its fiscal third quarter, according to figures released on Tuesday.
The company, which operates bookstores on college campuses, recorded earnings of $0.19 per share. When excluding one-time expenses, adjusted earnings reached $0.23 per share.
During the quarter, total revenue amounted to $515.1 million.
Since the start of the year, the company's stock price has dropped by 9%. As of the close of trading on Tuesday, shares stood at $8.36, reflecting a 3% decrease over the past year.
