Saudi Aramco requires Asian buyers to submit two sets of April crude oil shipment plans

Golden Ten Data, March 11 - According to Reuters, sources said that due to the disruption of crude oil exports caused by the US-Iran conflict, Saudi Aramco has asked Asian buyers to submit two sets of shipping plans for crude oil loading in April. One plan is for loading at Ras Tanura in the Persian Gulf, and the other is for loading at Yanbu. The Yanbu loading option is only applicable to purchases of Arab Light crude oil. Saudi Aramco has also extended the deadline for buyers to submit their pick-up plans to Friday. Quotas for Asia are usually announced around the 10th of each month, and traders closely monitor these quotas as they are regarded as indicators of demand in the world's largest crude oil importing region. Saudi Aramco has rerouted some crude oil exports, transporting them via pipelines to Yanbu and shipping them through the Red Sea to avoid the Strait of Hormuz. LSEG data shows that in the first nine days of March, the average shipment volume from Yanbu was 2.2 million barrels per day, higher than February's daily average of 1.1 million barrels.
