Campbell's Reports Second Quarter Earnings
Campbell's, headquartered in Camden, New Jersey, announced on Wednesday that its net income for the fiscal second quarter reached $145 million.
The company earned 48 cents per share, with adjusted earnings—excluding one-time expenses—coming in at 51 cents per share.
These figures were below analysts' expectations. According to Zacks Investment Research, nine analysts had anticipated earnings of 57 cents per share.
Campbell's, known for products such as canned soups, Pepperidge Farm cookies, and V8 juice, generated $2.56 billion in revenue during the quarter. This result also missed projections, as six analysts surveyed by Zacks had forecasted $2.61 billion.
Looking ahead, Campbell's estimates its full-year earnings will fall between $2.15 and $2.25 per share.
