Crude stockpiles increased by 3.8 million barrels in the past week - EIA
Weekly U.S. Crude Oil and Refinery Update
During the week ending March 6, 2026, U.S. refineries processed an average of 16.2 million barrels of crude oil per day, marking an increase of 328,000 barrels per day compared to the previous week. Refineries were running at 90.8% of their total capacity.
Gasoline output saw a rise, reaching an average of 9.9 million barrels per day. Production of distillate fuels also grew, up by 131,000 barrels per day to an average of 4.9 million barrels per day.
Crude oil imports into the United States averaged 6.4 million barrels per day last week, which is 98,000 barrels per day higher than the week before.
