Stitch Fix Reports Smaller-Than-Expected Quarterly Loss
Stitch Fix Inc., headquartered in San Francisco, announced on Wednesday that it recorded a net loss of $2.7 million for its fiscal second quarter.
This translates to a loss of 2 cents per share for the period.
The company’s performance exceeded analysts’ predictions. According to Zacks Investment Research, three analysts had anticipated a loss of 5 cents per share.
Stitch Fix, which specializes in online personal styling, generated $341.3 million in revenue for the quarter—surpassing the consensus estimate of $338.8 million from Zacks’ analysts.
Outlook for the Coming Quarters
Looking ahead to the quarter ending in April, Stitch Fix projects revenue between $330 million and $335 million.
For the full fiscal year, the company expects total revenue to fall within the range of $1.33 billion to $1.35 billion.
