Golden Ten Data reported on March 12 that Ukraine attacked an important crude oil export pipeline network hub in the Krasnodar region of southern Russia. According to an informed source, a large-scale fire broke out at a terminal in Tikhoretsk due to a Ukrainian drone attack. The site houses a large oil storage facility and an oil pumping station. The facility is owned by Russian state oil pipeline operator Transneft PJSC. The Krasnodar regional emergency department stated that a fire occurred at an oil depot in the suburbs of Tikhoretsk this morning, and the blaze quickly spread to 3,800 square meters. According to satellite images from the U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration's Fire Information Resource Management System, the burning oil depot is located in the same area as the oil pumping station. The oil pumping station in Tikhoretsk is one of the key facilities in Russia's supply and export system, distributing crude oil received through four main pipelines to the Black Sea ports of Novorossiysk and Tuapse.
