Production Output Sees Growth in Early 2026
Between November 2025 and January 2026, overall production output rose by an estimated 1.3% compared to the previous three-month period ending October 2025.
Growth was primarily driven by gains in the manufacturing sector, which expanded by 1.5%, and the electricity and gas sector, which saw a 2.2% increase. However, these advances were somewhat reduced by declines in water supply and sewerage (down 0.5%) and mining and quarrying (down 0.1%).
Within manufacturing, 8 out of 13 subsectors experienced growth during this period. The most significant boost came from the transport equipment subsector, which surged by 8.1% and accounted for nearly two-thirds of the overall manufacturing increase.
