Vitalik interprets Ethereum Foundation's new mission statement: Ethereum should become a "technological safe haven" and double down on investment

Jinse Finance reported that Vitalik Buterin posted on the X platform to interpret the Ethereum Foundation's new mission statement, "EF Mandate." He stated that Ethereum holds a unique role in the global digital ecosystem, with its mission to become a "sanctuary technology" to uphold technological self-sovereignty and promote collaboration in an environment free from coercion and domination. Ethereum's core goal is to ensure that no individual, organization, or ideology can achieve absolute control in cyberspace, and to provide users with an "exit mechanism." As the "guardian" of the network, the Ethereum Foundation will continue to focus on the CROPS principles: anti-censorship and anti-capture, open source, privacy, and security. At the protocol layer, it will prioritize decentralization, verifiability, network activity, and security, while advancing capability upgrades such as account abstraction to reduce reliance on intermediaries. At the application layer, the Ethereum Foundation is committed to creating a "zero option" user experience that balances security, privacy, and user autonomy, and will complement broader ecosystem projects to jointly drive the development of the Ethereum ecosystem. Vitalik Buterin also pledged to double down on Ethereum and expressed great anticipation for its future development.
