The yield on the UK two-year government bond has risen by more than 25 basis points this week.The two-year UK bond yield rose by 3.3 basis points to 4.126%, with a cumulative increase of 25.4 basis points this week. It fell to 3.834% at the opening of European stocks on March 10 and has been rising continuously since March 11. The 30-year UK bond yield increased by 4.1 basis points to 5.491%, with a cumulative gain of 17.8 basis points this week; the 50-year UK bond yield rose by 3.5 basis points to 5.055%, with a cumulative increase of 18.0 basis points this week. The spread between the 2-year and 10-year UK bond yields widened by 1.132 basis points to +69.077 basis points, with a cumulative decline of 6.067 basis points this week. Since the "gap down" at the opening on Monday, it has continued to fluctuate at low levels and repeatedly tested the psychological threshold of +70 basis points.
