Know Your Developer Whitepaper
The Know Your Developer whitepaper was written and released by the KYDC core team in 2025, against the backdrop of the growing importance of developer identity verification and reputation systems. Its aim is to address pain points in the current developer ecosystem such as lack of transparency in identity, insufficient trust, and low collaboration efficiency.
The theme of the Know Your Developer whitepaper is “Know Your Developer: Building a Decentralized Developer Identity and Reputation Network.” What makes Know Your Developer unique is its proposal of a blockchain-based decentralized identity (DID) framework and a multidimensional reputation evaluation mechanism. The significance of Know Your Developer lies in providing a trustworthy and transparent platform for global developers to authenticate their identities and accumulate reputation, thereby improving collaboration efficiency, reducing project risks, and fostering open innovation.
The original intention of Know Your Developer is to establish a fair and verifiable developer identity and reputation system jointly maintained by the developer community. The core viewpoint presented in the Know Your Developer whitepaper is: by combining decentralized identity technology with a community-driven reputation consensus mechanism, it is possible to effectively solve trust issues in the digital world while protecting developer privacy, empowering more efficient and secure collaboration models.
