CME Group, eine der weltweit größten Terminbörsen, hat die offizielle Einführung von Futures-Kontrakten für die Altcoins Cardano (ADA), Chainlink (LINK) und Stellar (XLM) bekannt gegeben.
In der Mitteilung wurde darauf hingewiesen, dass sowohl Standard- als auch Micro-Kontrakte für die genannten drei Kryptowährungen den Investoren zur Verfügung gestellt wurden.
Cardano-Kontrakte bieten zudem Basis Trade at Index Close (BTIC) über die CME CF New York Variant an. Diese Funktion ist besonders wichtig für institutionelle Investoren, die Basistrades auf Basis des Schlusskurses ausführen möchten.
Die CME Group teilte außerdem mit, dass sie im Jahr 2025 ein Rekordhandelsvolumen bei Krypto-Derivaten erreicht hat. Nach Unternehmensangaben stieg das durchschnittliche tägliche Handelsvolumen um 139 % auf 278.000 Kontrakte, was einem Nominalwert von etwa 12 Milliarden US-Dollar entspricht. Im selben Zeitraum erreichte die durchschnittliche Anzahl offener Positionen mit insgesamt 313.900 Kontrakten einen historischen Höchststand, mit einem Gesamt-Nominalwert von 26,4 Milliarden US-Dollar.
Andererseits wurden Projekte wie Arbitrum, Ondo, Near und Sui kürzlich in den CME CF Cryptocurrency Benchmarks-Datensatz aufgenommen, der Referenzpreisverhältnisse und Echtzeitindizes von der CME Group bereitstellt. Es gibt jedoch bislang keine offizielle Ankündigung zur Einführung von Futures-Kontrakten für diese Vermögenswerte.
