Nasdaq turns lower after rising 1% earlier

according to foreign media, that U.S. Supreme Court justices have indicated a cautious attitude towards Trump’s attempt to dismiss Federal Reserve Board member Lisa Cook based on unverified mortgage fraud allegations, believing that this move could undermine the Fed's independence and impact financial markets. At a hearing held in Washington on Wednesday, both conservative and liberal justices sharply questioned D. John Sauer, Acting U.S. Deputy Attorney General. Sauer urged the court to allow Trump to temporarily suspend Cook during the related litigation. Even justices appointed by Trump expressed doubts. Brett Kavanaugh stated that the president’s position would “weaken or even destroy the Fed’s independence.”
