Founder of Oaktree Capital: Bitcoin and gold both lack intrinsic value
Golden Finance reported that when faced with the choice between Bitcoin and gold, Max, co-founder of Oaktree Capital, believes that there is not much difference between the two. He stated that both lack intrinsic value. Just like gold, Bitcoin is "only worth the price people are willing to pay for it." In an interview program, Max said: "Gold has stood the test of time more, but it also lacks analytical reasons for its existence." He believes that the investment environment has undergone tremendous changes and will not return to a world of zero interest rates in the foreseeable future. Therefore, investors should invest in high-yield bond funds instead of Bitcoin or gold. He stated that fixed-income securities now offer considerable returns and are actually safer by definition.
