U.S. Job Market Remains Steady in November
According to the latest data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, job vacancies held steady at approximately 7.1 million in November. The number of people hired and those who left their jobs both remained consistent at 5.1 million. Among those leaving their positions, voluntary resignations totaled 3.2 million, while layoffs and dismissals accounted for 1.7 million—both figures showing little change from previous months.
This report provides detailed estimates on job openings, hiring, and separations across the entire nonfarm sector, broken down by industry and business size. Job openings refer to all available positions as of the last business day of the month, while hiring and separation figures reflect activity throughout the month.
