Eurozone jobless rate stands at 6.3%
Unemployment Trends in the Euro Area and EU – November 2025
According to recent data from Eurostat, the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate in the euro area reached 6.3% in November 2025. This marks a slight decrease from 6.4% in October 2025, but a small increase compared to 6.2% in November 2024. Across the European Union, the unemployment rate held steady at 6.0% in November 2025, unchanged from the previous month, yet higher than the 5.8% recorded a year earlier.
Eurostat reports that approximately 13.225 million people in the EU were unemployed in November 2025, with 10.937 million of them residing in the euro area. From October to November 2025, the number of unemployed individuals dropped by 97,000 in the EU and by 71,000 in the euro area.
