BlockBeats News, January 13, according to Onchain Lens monitoring, crypto KOL @old (account has been banned) spent 820,000 USDC to purchase 6.98 million NYC in the past 4 hours. Currently, they still hold 203,000 USDC and may continue to buy.
As previously reported, former New York City Mayor Eric Adams announced the launch of the "NYC" token after leaving office, stating that the project aims to raise funds to combat anti-Semitism, anti-American sentiment, and to promote blockchain education for children. Adams introduced the token in Times Square but did not disclose partners, issuance time, fund usage, or specific mechanisms, only stating that ordinary New York citizens can participate in the investment.
