Flash Consumer Confidence Indicator for the EU and Euro Area
In January 2026, DG ECFIN’s flash estimate of the consumer confidence indicator increased by 0.8 percentage points in both the EU and the euro area. At -11.7 (EU) and -12.4 (euro area) points, consumer confidence remained below its long-term average. This month's Flash CCI is computed on the basis of consumer survey data from all 27 EU countries and all 21 euro-area members, including Bulgaria that joined the euro area on 1 January 2026.
