Atmos Energy Reports Strong First-Quarter Earnings

Atmos Energy Corp., headquartered in Dallas, announced a net income of $403 million for its fiscal first quarter.

The company reported earnings of $2.44 per share, surpassing the $2.41 per share consensus forecast from analysts polled by Zacks Investment Research.

While earnings exceeded expectations, revenue for the quarter reached $1.34 billion, coming in below the $1.44 billion anticipated by analysts surveyed by Zacks.

Looking ahead, Atmos projects its full-year earnings to fall between $8.15 and $8.35 per share.

Since the start of the year, Atmos shares have risen by about 1%. As of the close of trading on Tuesday, the stock price stood at $168.81, marking an 18% increase over the past year.
