Nvidia collaborator Hon Hai sees a surge in sales, reflecting robust demand for AI technology
Hon Hai Sees Strong Revenue Growth Driven by AI Server Demand
Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., also known as Foxconn, experienced a 35.5% increase in revenue in January, reflecting ongoing robust demand for servers used in Nvidia Corp.-powered AI systems.
In January, Foxconn reported sales of NT$730 billion (approximately $23 billion). However, comparisons to the previous year may be skewed due to the timing of the Lunar New Year, which occurred in January in 2025. Looking ahead, analysts expect the company’s revenue for the first quarter to rise by 28% year-over-year.
Foxconn is a major supplier of servers that power data centers, playing a crucial role in the AI hardware sector dominated by Nvidia. The company has seen significant gains as American tech giants such as Meta Platforms and Amazon.com invest heavily in infrastructure to support AI development and deployment. This surge in spending continues despite concerns about potential overcapacity and uncertainties regarding the profitability of AI technologies.
