Retail Sales Overview: December 2025 Quarter

In the December 2025 quarter, compared to the previous quarter ending September 2025, the following key changes were observed in retail sales:

• The seasonally adjusted total retail sales volume reached $26 billion, reflecting a 0.9% increase.
• The seasonally adjusted total retail sales value climbed to $32 billion, marking a 1.4% rise (an increase of $425 million).
• Out of 16 regions, 12 experienced growth in seasonally adjusted sales values.
• When compared to the December 2024 quarter, the actual total retail sales value was $34 billion, up by 4.9% (an increase of $1.6 billion).
• As of 31 December 2025, the actual value of retail stock stood at $9.2 billion, representing a 0.3% decrease ($31 million) from the same date in 2024.
