LendingTree (TREE) Reports Q4: Everything You Need To Know Ahead Of Earnings
Financial marketplace platform LendingTree (NASDAQ:TREE) will be reporting results this Monday after market close. Here’s what investors should know.
LendingTree beat analysts’ revenue expectations last quarter, reporting revenues of $307.8 million, up 18% year on year. It was an exceptional quarter for the company, with an impressive beat of analysts’ EBITDA estimates and a solid beat of analysts’ revenue estimates.
This quarter, the market is expecting LendingTree’s revenue to grow 9.7% year on year, slowing from the 94.6% increase it recorded in the same quarter last year.
Analysts covering the company have generally reconfirmed their estimates over the last 30 days, suggesting they anticipate the business to stay the course heading into earnings. LendingTree has missed Wall Street’s revenue estimates multiple times over the last two years.
Looking at LendingTree’s peers in the financial technology segment, some have already reported their Q4 results, giving us a hint as to what we can expect. Remitly delivered year-on-year revenue growth of 25.7%, beating analysts’ expectations by 3.5%, and Robinhood reported revenues up 26.5%, falling short of estimates by 3.9%. Remitly traded up 25.9% following the results while Robinhood was down 8.9%.
Debates around the economy’s health and the impact of potential tariffs and corporate tax cuts have caused much uncertainty in 2025. While some of the financial technology stocks have shown solid performance in this choppy environment, the group has generally underperformed, with share prices down 12.6% on average over the last month. LendingTree is down 34.1% during the same time and is heading into earnings with an average analyst price target of $81.33 (compared to the current share price of $37.34).
