Show original
The decentralized anonymous lottery protocol Foom Cash was attacked due to a Groth16 verifier configuration issue, resulting in a loss of approximately $2.26 million. White hat hacker Duha identified the vulnerability and protected funds on the Base chain, while security company Decurity was responsible for rescuing funds on Ethereum, recovering a total of $1.84 million (about 81% of the stolen funds). Foom Cash paid Duha a bounty of $320,000 and paid Decurity a security fee of $100,000.
