Economists predict the Federal Reserve will cut interest rates twice this year, concerns arise over the nomination of Waller.
ChainCatcher news, according to Golden Ten Data, based on a Bloomberg survey, economists have postponed their expectations for the next Federal Reserve rate cut from March to June, but still anticipate two rate cuts of 25 basis points each before the end of this year. The survey shows that nearly one-third of economists are concerned about Kevin Warsh, the candidate nominated by Trump for chairman. The median of the survey indicates that economists expect interest rates to be in the range of 3% to 3.25% by the end of this year.
