According to reports, Nvidia announced a multi-year strategic partnership with two leading companies in the optical communications field, Lumentum and Coherent, investing $2 billions in each company, totaling $4 billions to boost advanced optical technology research and manufacturing. This move aims to fully promote the large-scale construction of next-generation AI infrastructure and further solidify its global leadership in AI and accelerated computing. Nvidia founder and CEO Jensen Huang stated that artificial intelligence is reshaping computing paradigms and is driving the largest-scale construction of computing infrastructure in history. The cooperation with these two companies will help Nvidia develop more advanced silicon photonics technology, enabling unprecedented breakthroughs in scale, speed, and energy efficiency for AI infrastructure, and building gigawatt-level next-generation AI computing factories.

JTD Energy Services Pte.'s Chief Strategist in the East Eight Zone, John Driscoll, stated that this move is tantamount to admitting that, in such unprecedented circumstances, "the Arab-Gulf oil market has lost its anchor and is rudderless."
