According to Golden Ten Data on January 2, a collapse occurred at the Callide coal mine in central Queensland, Australia, on January 2 local time, resulting in one person missing and one injured. A spokesperson for the Queensland police said that preliminary information indicates the injured person has been taken to the hospital and is not in life-threatening condition, while another person remains unaccounted for. After the incident, relevant agencies launched a rescue operation. The parent company of the coal mine, Coronado Global Resources, stated that it is aware of the situation but has not commented.
