CFTC Chair: Obstacles for US perpetual contracts will be cleared in the coming weeksOdaily reported that CFTC Chairman Mike Selig stated at an event in Washington that the agency is working to allow genuine professional perpetual contracts to operate within the United States in the next month, and expects to release relevant announcements soon. Mike Selig pointed out that previous regulatory policies had caused a large number of companies and liquidity to move overseas. In addition, the CFTC and SEC are advancing multiple digital asset policies through Project Crypto, including providing clear guidance for DeFi developers and establishing clear standards for prediction markets. SEC Chairman Paul Atkins also noted that although regulators are promoting innovation exemptions to allow industry experimentation, Congress still needs to provide legal certainty. Currently, legislative work in the US Senate regarding digital asset market transparency is still under negotiation.

Harvard reduces its Bitcoin holdings and acquires Ethereum ETF, possibly reflecting risk management needsHarvard University has reduced its bitcoin holdings. Analysts believe this move is related to market volatility and liquidity needs, and may be a risk management strategy rather than a fundamental shift in attitude towards bitcoin. At the same time, Harvard purchased nearly 3.9 million shares of BlackRock Ethereum ETF, indicating increased institutional interest in crypto assets beyond bitcoin. Experts point out that this reflects a trend among large investors to gradually diversify into Ethereum and other crypto assets while fulfilling private equity commitments.
